Supported by Apprentice winner Tim Campbell, NRG Gym Group is a Health & Fitness company offering world class health and fitness facilities at an affordable price, based in Gravesend, Kent.
NRG Gym Group has entered the Health & Fitness industry scene, with financial backing for 20 brand new gyms across South East London, Essex and Kent over the next 5 years. To meet their high expectations for signed up members before the first gym officially opens, we needed a highly effective digital and physical marketing strategy to build confidence in the NRG brand whilst the gym site was still in development.
The first stage was a fully featured website design, which could handle member sign ups and measure website visitors analytically. Combined with an aggressive social media drive, digital sign ups were consistently pushing 10 a day throughout the campaign and Twitter and Facebook interaction was surpassing even the more established competitors.
Combined with a strong local presence through a parallel physical marketing drive in Gravesend town center, we were able to attract over 1000 members before the first gym had been open a week. This was double their expected target and is leading fantastically into the next gym opening in a few months time.
Our physical marketing solution was based around generating PR through the recognition of Tim Campbell within the town and appealing to local press. We commissioned two newspaper wraparounds and set up a professional marketing tent both in the town center and at local retail parks. On our most successful days, we were achieving 50+ sign ups in 5 hours.
