North Hill Hotel



The Client

The North Hill Hotel’s local reputation speaks for itself. The number one hotel and restaurant on Tripadvisor for two years after it opened, it continues to be ranked highly with many good reviews.

The hotel was completely renovated in 2008 which transformed its style, presence and reputation. The Green Room restaurant housed inside was non existant in 2007, but this year was proudly awarded two rossettes for a consistent ability to provide the best quality local food in the town.

The Challenge

With such a fantastic succeess building around the hotel launch, it was up to us to build a website to match. They were not interested in over complicating their website itself, but did need to maximise their exposure across online channels to attact new guests.

The Solution

We looked at some of the larger hotel chain websites to gather inspiration and insight into a style that would work for a much smaller, yet stylish boutique. Following our research and information gathering, we decided to go with a a clean dark design formed around bright, stand-out content and photography in the middle. All photography was produced by 7Gate and has evolved as the hotel evolved.

To promote the site, we submitted the hotel and restaurant to industry specific websites and managed their Google places account, which we are currently updating to make use of Google’s recent changes in the space. To make best use of available channels, and acknowledging that the hotel and restaurant were managed so well, we felt that encouraging customers to post on review site Tripadvisor could be a success. Sure enough, when the reviews started to come in, both the hotel and restaurant quickly rose to number one in their respective categories.
